Security and Compliance Product Lead
Own the strategy, roadmap and growth of Intercity’s security portfolio, shaping a Microsoft-focused SOC and services that solve customer needs and thrive commercially.
This is a rare chance to join Intercity’s Office of the CTO, the team setting the direction for everything we take to market. We’re looking for a Security & Compliance Service/Product Lead to own one of the most important parts of our portfolio and shape where it goes next.
You’ll think about security services the way a good product manager thinks about products. You’ll own the strategy, the roadmap and the numbers across our SOC, managed security, compliance, cyber resilience and advisory services. You’ll decide what we build next, what we simplify, what we retire, and how we take it all to market. You’ll have the backing of a Microsoft-first business that’s serious about security and coming off a record year of growth.
Sitting in the Office of the CTO puts you right at the heart of the decisions that matter. You’ll work closely with our Security & Compliance Principal Architect, our Platforms & Engineering teams and Microsoft Alliances. They’ll keep the technical side sharp. Your job is to make sure what we offer solves real problems, makes money and stands out in a crowded market.
Key Responsibilities
Shaping the portfolio. You’ll define and own the Security & Compliance strategy and roadmap. That means spotting the market opportunities, customer challenges and emerging threats that should shape what we build next. Everything you do will line up with our Microsoft-first approach, and you’ll own each service from the first idea right through to retirement.
Growing and productising. You’ll take services that work and make them repeatable, scalable and easy to buy. You’ll simplify and standardise where it helps our customers and our delivery teams, and find the gaps where a new service should exist.
Leading the SOC. Our Security Operations Centre is central to this role. You’ll own its strategic direction and commercial performance, move it further towards a Microsoft Security operating model, and set the outcomes, service levels and value propositions customers buy into. You’ll work with Platforms & Engineering to push automation, efficiency and service maturity forward.
Owning the commercials. Portfolio revenue, profitability and growth targets are yours. You’ll build the propositions, pricing and packaging, support sales and marketing with go-to-market activity and enablement, and find the cross-sell and upsell opportunities in our existing customer base.
Being the voice of the customer. You’ll make sure every service solves a genuine security or compliance problem. Customer feedback, operational insight and market intelligence will guide where we invest, and adoption, satisfaction and retention are the measures that matter.
Bringing people together. You’ll partner with Alliances & Technology to make the most of Microsoft funding, incentives and specialisations. You’ll also work with Customer Success, Sales, Marketing and Operations so we can deliver what we promise consistently, securely and at scale.
Experience and Skills
What you’ll need
Experience owning, managing or developing security services within an MSP, MSSP, consultancy or technology provider
A strong understanding of managed security services and security operations
A track record of building and managing service roadmaps
Commercial and financial awareness, including pricing, margin and profitability
Experience working with sales and customer success teams to drive growth
Knowledge of security, compliance, governance and risk management
A degree in Cyber Security, IT or Business, or equivalent industry experience
You’ll also be a strong communicator who’s as comfortable with an engineer as with an exec, and you’ll know how to influence people who don’t report to you.
What would give you an edge

Service experience: developing SOC or MDR service offerings, ideally within a Microsoft-focused MSP
