We are looking for a People Advisor to join our team, in this role you will be supporting the People Director with a wide range of duties, including the delivery of the people strategy, advising on employment relation matters and managing the overall colleague lifecycle.
As a People Advisor, you will be responsible for:
- Support the delivery of the people strategy including reviews
- Support the generation of people policies and procedures
- Providing guidance to managers on employment policies and legislation
- Management of 2nd stage employee relations matters, including: probation, disciplinary, capability, grievance
- Support with colleagues with 1st stage employee relations matters
- Overall management of leaver process including return of equipment, access restrictions and exit interviews
- Ensure digital personnel files are up to date, including compliance with legislative requirements, such as right to work checks, DBS checks, completion of e-learning
- Monitor absence statistics and support management to address issues when required
- Support Finance team with payroll administration
- Management of overall colleague lifecycle
- Maternity & paternity process
- Management of HRIS
- Skills assessments and skills development
- Management of Reward statements and benefit communication
- Training research, requirements and business cases
- Management of employee benefits, benchmarking and building proposals for new benefits
- Handling colleague queries promptly
- Colleague wellbeing – point of contact for occupational health requirements
- Support the People Director with business processes
- Management of People Team dashboard
- Strategic use of People Team analytics
- Socialites management
- Creation and delivery of colleague training modules
- Represent the people function in meetings when required
- Value integration
- Support with delivery of management and SLT training
- Manage CPD calendar of events
- Manage Wellbeing calendar of events
- Support ESG/community initiatives
- Oversee people teams ISO audits requirements including conformance management
- Colleague communications – People Update, Quarterly Update prep,
- Keeping budget up to date
- Conduct induction for all new starters
Key Skills and Experience:
- Level 5 CIPD qualification
- Previous experience working within human resources
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Confident
- Ability to prioritise
- Strong attention to detail
