As a Pricing Analyst, you'll be vital to our Commercial Team by managing, maintaining and developing the commercial pricing and models across all of the products within our Intercity portfolio. You'll work closely with other departments, such as Sales, Marketing and Product to gather market data and develop effective pricing models.
Under the guidance of the Commercial and Procurement Manager, you'll play a pivotal part in maximising revenue, market propositioning and future product launches.
As a Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for:
• Creating pricing for standard vendor products and services to deliver standard pricing across these areas
• Creating and modelling new pricing propositions. Working closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product managers to develop the pricing strategy.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies and make recommendations for adjustments to ensure revenue and profitability targets are met.
• Research and report on market pricing and competition, developing intelligence that allows the business to price to market for the Intercity portfolio of products and services.
• Regularly reviewing and updating pricing strategies in response to changes in the market, customer behaviours and competitive activity.
• Develop regular reporting, with the Business Intelligence team, that reports on key metrics relevant to developing pricing as a leading indicator within the business.
• Supporting the sign off process for bespoke bid pricing
• Ad hoc project work providing analysis to the business
Experience and Knowledge
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Sector experience/technology background greatly beneficial.
• Knowledge and understanding of pricing models, pricing strategy, price sensitivity, financial P&L, ROI models, and economics.
• Experience of working within a pricing team, ideally within IT, Managed Services and/or Telecoms focusing on pricing structures and commercial strategy
• Ability to show tangible examples of managing planning and business process across complex business metrics.
• Proactive, driven self-starter with a clear ability to take ownership and the initiative to drive success.
• Ability to work in a pressurized environment and adapt quickly and positively to change.
• Commercially astute individual who builds relationships easily and is driven by delivery.
