We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join our growing Commercial function where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and commercial buying activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring that we obtain the best value for our investments while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
Reporting directly to the Group Procurement Director, you will have the opportunity to shape our procurement strategy, build strong relationships with suppliers, and drive efficiencies across the business.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:
This will include but is not limited to:
- Utilise your expertise in negotiation and market analysis to ascertain the optimal balance between price and value for all procurement activities. Develop strategies to secure competitive pricing while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
- Working in collaboration with the Commercial Ops team, develop and implement efficient processes for the purchasing of goods and services, from vendor selection and evaluation to order placement and fulfilment. Ensure that all purchasing activities align with business goals and objectives.
- Identify and engage with service suppliers to fulfil business requirements for services, support, and maintenance. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Develop and manage frameworks for purchasing peripherals, hardware, and software licenses from vendors and distributors. Establish preferred supplier relationships and negotiate favourable terms and conditions to optimise procurement outcomes.
- Monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and contractual obligations. Track and manage rebates, incentives, and discounts to maximise value for the business.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial buying, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the technology sector.
- Proven track record of success in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and delivering cost savings and value for the organisation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting and cost analysis essential
